A basement remodel featuring a Travertine fireplace overlay
This is the before.
The finished wet bar and island.
The before. This basement remodel all began with repairing a foundation crack, that allowed the basement to flood for years.
Basements don't have to look like "basements"
A client's wine cellar.
This cellar is fully insulated, has recessed flourescent lighting, and a digital refrigeration and humidification unit.
Subway tile, Soapstone countertops, a pot filler over the 6 burner range, under and in cabinet lighting, and an island with a handmade Quartersawn Black Walnut "butcher block" top.
This Great Room started out as a typical split level ground floor with a small Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room with 8' ceilings.
Add some height and let the sun shine in. These ceilings were bumped to 10 1/2 ', and a 2 story dormer was added to really take advantage of natural lighting.
Rearange your floor plan. The original layout divided the kitchen above with a wall that seperated the old kitchen and dining room just left of the patio doors, which used to be a window.
Create the open floor plan perfect for family time and entertaing your guests. The original layout also had a wall running from just left of the fireplace all the way to the stair railing. Believe it or not, the wall that the table is against, continued all the way to the right of the patio doors. We added the beverage center, a powder room, and mudroom/ laundry to the existing space originaly used as a deep garage.
This view shows the added living space. The Farm sink in the background is the utility sink, in the laundry/mudroom. Laundry rooms don't have to be ugly.
Take a house in a neighborhood you and your family love, and turn it into your dream home.
Fairy tales can come true. This "Cottage" style conversion was the talk of the town!
We created new roof lines, and added new architechtural detail, completely changing this home without altering it's original footprint.
Unfinished basements collect junk, and are a waste of very valuable living space, you already have. Properly finished basements, often become the "Favorite" part of the home.

Add a wet bar or a kitchen to your basement
The same basement bar after painting and decorating.
A kitchen before we started. We wanted to open the kitchen up to other rooms to create "Family Friendly" space, and improve flow for entertaining.
Here is the same kitchen after removing some walls and installing new recessed lighting, Hand scraped oak flooring, Maple cabinets, and honed Granite tops.
This angle shows how the space opened up after removing a wall. The island greatly improved the flow over the peninsula design, and now allows seating for 6 comfortably. Notice the seating niche on the cooking side of the island, a nice touch that enables the host to take a break and socialize while preparing meals.
How about a nicely organized entryway
This vanity has a Soapstone top with a Vessel sink that sits partialy in and partialy above the suface. Check out the toe kick lighting.
Here's another before
and after.
We can take an ordinary room
and add a personal touch.
use a little imagination
turn it into reality,
Ready for guests.
Let us make your entryway
a little more inviting
A Kitchen featuring Cherry floors and cabinets, Travertine and Slate backsplashes and island skirt, all topped in Granite.
Here's a vacation home we gave a "Cottage" face lift to, for a client on Lake Geneva.
